However, there's nothing that says that you must actually enter the script text, henceforth called source code, using the internal script editor.

To make Kontakt load a script, the script code must be present in the internal Kontakt Script Editor and you have to press Apply to make any changes apply. The process of writing a script consists of first going through steps 1-5 and then repeating steps 4-5 (editing and applying changes) until the script works as it should.Ī quick way to test any of the example scripts below is to copy it from this page, and then press Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+V in the Kontakt Script Editor to replace any previous text with the script you want to try out, followed by clicking the Apply button.
The little box to the left of the Apply button will light up whenever there are unapplied changes.
Press the "Apply" button for the changes to take effect. Important: if you're accustomed to using Ctrl+Z for undo be sure to avoid it in the script editor as it'll discard your changes and you may loose all of what you have typed in.
